Anna Cook Kendrick was created in Portland, Maine, the 9th of August, 1985. Her mother worked as an accountant while her father was a teacher of history. Anna was raised in the home of her brother Michael who was an actor, and then an actor. Anna Kendrick began auditioning for Broadway productions as a teenager at Deering High School in Portland. At the age of 12, she got her first role in a major theatre production in High Society. Her performance was recognized with numerous awards and nominations despite the fact she was just a young child. In 2003, she was acting as a second-in-command in A Little Night Music. Her film debut was at Camp in the same year, aged fifteen. Kendrick was nominated for her performance, and also for her performance in Rocket Science 2007 at age 15.
