
Sara Aliza Eisen (American television journalist) is currently working with CNBC. She is a co-anchor for the channel's programs 'Squawkon the Street', as well as Closing Bell'. While she's an Ohioan and was not particularly interested in markets or currencies in the time she was in college. While attending New York University, she did an internship with the start-up site ForexTV.com. This was where she gained the first glimpse of business news. The Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University gave her a master's of broadcast journalism. The position was for four months at Bloomberg TV, Hong Kong. After she returned to US and began to work in Bloomberg's office in New York. Later, she was promoted to anchor on TV. CNBC brought her on in December 2013 as an anchor. Eisen has been co-anchor on 'Worldwide Exchange as well as 'Power Lunch', before landing the role on 'Closing Bell' in 2018. Eisen co-anchors 'Squawk on the Street' since 2014. Her primary focus since the time she joined CNBC has been global news for consumers.
