Anamaria Marinca is an Romanian actress. She received the British Academy Television Award Best Actress for her Channel 4 film Sex Traffic. French, German English fluently. Her mother was a violinist, Her father is a theater professor in one of Romania's best acting schools. She was awarded the Best Female Actor Award for the Year 2000 at The Mangalia Young Actor Gala. In 2008 she was named the 'European Shooting Star' European Shooting Star' by the European Film Promotion Board. In 2007, she was a part of in the Romanian film 4 luni 3 weeks si 2 zile (4 months, 3 weeks and 2 days) directed by Cristian Mungiu, which received the Palme d'Or at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival and two additional awards (the Cinema Prize of the French National Education System and the FIPRESCI prize). Youth Without Youth by Francis Ford Coppola was another film in which she appeared. In 2008 she played Yasim anwar in the BBC mini-series The Last Enemy. Marinca is a regular in her own Romanian drama Boogie and Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven. Then, she played a major role in 2014's Fury where she was Irma her German maternal aunt to Emma.
