Awkwafina
American musician and actor Awkwafina debuted with sly rap tracks that tackled sexual identity and race with a an incisive and humorous perspective, before expanding her reach into Hollywood. Nora Lum is the daughter of Chinese and Korean parents in Forest Hills Queens. The trumpet was Nora's first instrument. In the following years, she took up hip-hop and classical training. In her schooling, she specialized in the field of journalism as well as women's studies. She was also a student of Mandarin for a while in Beijing. She didn't start focusing on music until after she finished her studies. Following her viral success on the Internet the My Vag song My Vag was a reaction to the Mickey Avalon song My Dick. It eventually appeared on the debut album Yellow Ranger. It also included other hit songs that went viral, such as the body-positive Queef and winking hometown tour NYC Bitche$. The last track was linked directly to Awkwafina's NYC travel guide published in 2015. She opted to pursue acting as a profession after completing her first two projects, as an author and musician. Her film credits include films such as Neighbors 2, Storks, and Bad Rap. In the year 2018, her breakout roles included Dude Ocean's 8 as well as Crazy Rich Asians. The EP was released by"In Fina We Trust in June of the year.
